School Nutrition

Screven County School System is made up of excellent faculty, students, and activities ensuring a great school experience.  The nutrition program is no exception and provides our students with high quality breakfast and lunch at no cost to the parent or student.  La Rochefoucauld states, "To eat is a necessity, but to eat intelligently is an art."  Our food service staff understands this concept and the connection between good nutrition and achieving excellence in both academics and all other activities.  Our menus allow students to make intelligent food choices that will lead them to better health both in school and out.

The dedicated staff of the Screven County Food Nutrition department work to provide students with exceptional food that is nutritious, attractive and diverse.  Our primary goals are to provide great customer service, to teach students about nutrition and its importance on their health and productivity, and to stay on the cutting edge of what is new in nutrition and food service.  We will work hard to implement these things into our program, thereby providing our kids with the best nutrition and in turn the best opportunity both in their school career and beyond.
